Salone Shu

I walked in after days of Tokyo sightseeing—aching, stiff, and utterly exhausted. But 130 minutes at Essential Course flew by like a dream. Shu’s technique is so precise and intuitive; every movement felt neccessary, like he was unraveling knots I didn’t even know I had. His touch is both strong and graceful (and yes, he’s got that lean, focused vibe that makes the whole experience even more captivating). By the end, my body felt rebooted—light, loose, and weirdly euphoric. Already plotting my next Tokyo trip just to book another session.

Shu is an excellent masseur who is super-fit and very intuitive. He is a friendly guy who wants to understand his clients and their needs. He will vary the pressure depending on your preferences and how you are feeling that day. Shu has developed a unique style, drawn from a number of countries' massage traditions. The salon itself is a well-designed, relaxing and welcoming environment, very close to the subway. I visit quite regularly and thoroughly enjoy the time at his salon. Shu always makes a difference if I am stressed, or feel tight after a workout. I would highly recommend Shu's massage.

Highly recommended if you seek a professional massage with a twist. From making an appointment to the end of the therapy session, Therapist Shu is polite and friendly throughout the interaction. The massage room is tastefully decorated and scented, which immediately relaxes you upon entering. With years of experience, Therapist Shu listens to the guest’s needs in order to deliver a high quality massage. I’ve enjoyed the session tremendously and was pleasantly surprised when he incorporated his own twist to the traditional massage. Overall a very positive experience and I look forward to my next visit.
